Oneshot   is a surreal top down Puzzle/Adventure game with unique gameplay capabilities. You are to guide a child through a mysterious world on a mission to restore its long-dead sun. The world knows you exist. Gameplay mechanics that go beyond the game window. A haunting original soundtrack and artwork designed to match. A unique relationship between a game and its player. A lingering feeling that you’re not getting the full story unless you know where to look. Although OneShot is not a horror game in the traditional sense, parts of the game may induce some paranoia. Please proceed with caution. A surreal puzzle adventure game with unique mechanics / capabilities.

You are to guide a child through a mysterious world on a mission to restore its long-dead sun. Of course, things are never that simple. The world knows you exist. The consequences are real. Saving the world may be impossible. You only have one shot. Like most of the comments suggest, this is a really immersive adventure you can go through.. and you only have one shot! Adventure with lots of riddles & puzzle gameplay and meta elements weaved into it’s story. Splendid, unique character design & world-building. Atmosspheric background music. At around 5 hours to get through it this is a perfect game for a weekend. The only argument is that the game solely features a 3:4 format and additionally is made to be played in a teeny-weeny window, which can be a bit annoying and enelegantly solved. All in all still a really great game. And Niko is not a cat !

Games have the unique ability to tell their audience a story while allowing them to be intimately involved in its creation. One Shot is no exception. It is a star example of how gaming can be used to create stories more vivid and engaging than any other form of story telling. The game mainly plays on the empathy of its players, allowing them to relate to its characters and form bonds with the world. This play on empathy is further complemented with its impressive ability to construct a world that is interesting and engaging. If you are looking for a game with a story that leaves you with an unforgettable experience, look no further. If you are a fan of pixel style graphics and very somber music, this game is certainly for you. This game’s art is very well done, complimenting the music it accompanies perfectly. It is clear how much love and attention went into the creation of each piece of art and music. Even if you are not a fan of this game’s art style or choice of music, its overall quality and attention to detail is undeniable.
